What we run
Every job that starts with a boat that will not move.
Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
- Boat towing. The boat goes where you want it — your trailer, your slip, or any marina, ramp or repair yard, including dock-to-dock tows to a repair facility.
- Breakdown assistance. Engine, transmission, drive and electrical failures: what can be fixed out on the water is fixed there, and what cannot is towed in.
- Emergency fuel delivery. Fuel is brought out to the boat on the water, at any hour.
- Battery jump starts. If the jump does not hold, the boat is towed to a repair facility.
- Soft ungrounding. A boat sitting upright and undamaged, still surrounded by water, that one boat and one line can free in about fifteen minutes.
- Salvage and recovery. Sunken, swamped, holed or high and dry.
- Dive services. Prop and line clearing, underwater inspection, and recovery of lost items.
Members’ covered services — towing, soft ungroundings, battery jump starts and fuel delivery — are paid 100% by BoatUS with no paperwork; on a fuel delivery a member pays only for the fuel itself. Non-members are served at posted rates, quoted before the boat leaves the dock.
BoatUS runs 24/7 dispatch on 800-391-4869, and boaters can also raise help on VHF Channel 16

Beyond a tow
Salvage and recovery.
Divers, salvage pumps, lift bags and high-capacity dewatering pumps, with fuel-spill containment, photo documentation and condition reports for insurance files.
Salvage is not covered by any towing membership and is normally paid by the boat owner’s insurance. We work directly with carriers and adjusters on authorization, scope and billing, accept insurance-assigned salvage on fixed-price or time-and-materials scopes, can bill most carriers directly, and provide certificates of insurance and references on request.
A soft ungrounding is a boat that is upright, undamaged, surrounded by water and freeable in about fifteen minutes with one boat and one line; anything else is salvage, and the captain says which it is before a line goes on.
Where we run
Sabine Lake first, and a long way past it.
H2O Boat Tow’s service area is the entire eastern side of Texas from the Gulf coast to Arkansas, and its crews travel to any lake in that area — about 120 miles by road from any of its ports, so the coverage extends well beyond the water the ports sit on.
Our listed service area for this port runs to 25 Miles Offshore.
Are you only on Sabine Lake?
No. H2O Boat Tow also operates the TowBoatUS ports on Possum Kingdom Lake, Lake Fork, Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend, and serves Lake Ray Hubbard and Lake Lavon northeast of Dallas as a TowBoatUS operator.
One dispatch line covers all of it
Membership
The call costs less before you need it.
An Unlimited freshwater TowBoatUS towing membership costs about $130 a year. A single non-member call typically runs $300 to $500.
A BoatUS membership works nationwide — the same towing coverage applies anywhere you boat in the U.S.

Shore power
Boat trips the marina pedestal on Sabine Lake?
Since the 2020 National Electrical Code, every shore-power receptacle at a marina has listed ground-fault protection at 30 milliamperes. A boat leaking more current than that trips the pedestal as soon as it connects, even if it worked fine at an older dock.
H2O Services, a program of H2O Boat Tow, tests a boat’s shore-power leakage current with a device listed for marina use and reports the number, so you know what to have repaired. It also runs documented leakage-testing programs for Sabine Lake marinas with more than three shore-power receptacles, which NEC 555.35(D) has required since January 1, 2026.
